Shirley M. Marshall, of Greenville and Narragansett died Thursday, November 24, 2022. She was the wife of the late John L. Marshall. They had been married for 59 years. Mrs. Marshall was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Helen and Raymond Miller.
Mrs. Marshall worked at Marcello’s and Brigg’s Limited as a Bookkeeper for many years. She then worked part time for 20 years at the Division of Motor Vehicles before retiring.
Shirley was a long time League Bowler and loved playing cards in her leisure time. Her quick wit and humor endeared her to her large family and friends.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by her children, Maureen M. Stolhammer of Colorado, Michael J. Marshall and his wife Wendy of North Carolina, Catherine A. Croce and her husband Robert of Cranston and Thomas P. Marshall and his wife Ann of North Providence. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marshall is also survived by her first cousin Mark Keough, who she considered her brother.
Her funeral will begin Monday, Nov. 28th at 10:00am at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church Renovation Fund, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 in Mrs. Marshall’s memory.
